As the State Senator who represents the community of Uvalde and the families who experienced the unimaginable, your advocacy is incredibly meaningful to me. Your energy, actions, and investments make it possible for us as lawmakers to convey the will of the people. And while we still have a long way to go, we made progress together last session with a bipartisan committee vote to raise the age to 21 for semi-automatic rifles, and the passage of safe gun storage education for Texas parents.

As we prepare for the next session, I’m eager to spend the evening with you and Texas Gun Sense supporters to reconnect on why we do this work together, and honor some of the accomplishments made in the community.
