Join Our Healthcare Coalition

October 22, 2024

Dear Friends,

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Texas Gun Sense Healthcare Coalition—a network of dedicated healthcare professionals united to address gun violence as the public health crisis that it is.

Why a Healthcare Coalition?

Gun violence touches the lives of countless Texans, impacting individuals, families, and communities across our state. Healthcare professionals see these effects firsthand, whether it’s in emergency rooms, counseling sessions, or community clinics. That’s why we’re bringing together doctors, nurses, therapists, surgeons, public health experts, and other healthcare advocates to push for evidence-based solutions that will make a difference.

What is the TGS Healthcare Coalition?

Our coalition aims to amplify the voices of healthcare professionals in the fight against gun violence by:

  • Advocating for Policy Change: We’ll work together to support common-sense gun safety policies that will protect our communities.
  • Raising Awareness: By organizing webinars, public forums, and educational events, we’ll engage the broader community on the public health implications of gun violence.
  • Providing Resources: Access toolkits, policy briefs, and expert guidance to help you become a more effective advocate in your field.

How Can You Get Involved?

We need your expertise and passion to make this coalition a success. Whether you’re looking to participate in advocacy days, speak at events, contribute to policy development, or simply stay informed on the latest developments in gun violence prevention, there’s a role for you.

Ready to join us?

Fill out the form linked above to join the TGS Healthcare Coalition and indicate the ways you’d like to be involved. Your participation is crucial in our fight for a safer Texas, and we can’t wait to get started with you!

Thank you for your commitment to making our communities safer, healthier, and more resilient. If you have any questions or need additional information, feel free to reach out to our Program Manager, Garrett Chase, at garrett@txgunsense.org.
