The 89th Texas Legislative Session brought major challenges and powerful momentum in the fight to end gun violence.
Today, we’re releasing our 89th Session Lawmaker Vote Tracker, showing how every Texas lawmaker voted on key gun bills this session. These scores reflect whether your elected officials stood with communities calling for action—or with special interests pushing to weaken our laws.
You’ve heard us say this session tested our collective resolve. But it also proved just how strong and strategic this movement has become. Together, we:
★ Blocked dangerous bills that would have flooded polling places and schools with more guns
★ Drove 8,000+ emails to lawmakers
★ Mobilized 18 community events, including a coalition-wide Advocacy Day
★ Launched 5 powerful digital tools
★ Brought survivors, youth, and healthcare professionals to testify at 12+ legislative hearings
Despite setbacks——we’re not backing down. The release of these scores is about more than accountability. It’s about power, momentum, and showing lawmakers that Texans are paying attention.
In solidarity,
